Waterfront: Classic Castro
UK designer develops motor yacht for Asia build.

UK Designer Tony Castro has developed a 43-meter motor yacht called the Kingship 43. The yacht, to be built in Asia, features classic lines and emphasizes style over volume of accommodations.

Of the two available layouts, one is conventional and the other places the owner on his own private deck with all the guests in panoramic cabins on the main deck. The lower level includes the crew accommodations, the galley, a gymnasium and a large engine room.

Castro says every aspect of the design follows international standards and Dutch building practices. The 43 has a steel displacement hull and aluminum superstructure and comes in under the 500-gross-ton limit. With twin 950-hp Caterpillar C32s, the yacht will cruise at 12 knots and top out at 15. She will have a range of 6,000 nautical miles at cruise.
