Waterfront: Dutch Flagship
Mulder Shipyard builds its largest yacht to date.

Mulder Shipyard, in Voorschoten, the Netherlands, is currently building an all-aluminum 92 Flybridge for an Egyptian client. The launch of Mulder’s flagship, designed by frequent collaborator Guido de Groot, is scheduled for summer 2008.

Naval architect Jaron Ginton drew a round-bilge, semi-planing hull that will be driven by a pair of 1,015-hp C18 Caterpillar engines to a top speed of 18 knots. Kitty van der Kamp Design and the Mulder design team styled a modern cherry interior.

The yacht will feature a Jacuzzi, wet bar, grill and centerline helm on the flybridge.

As stated in the specs: The galley and wheelhouse will be separated with a sliding door—a welcome feature for the helmsman while the yacht is under way at night. Four lower-deck, ensuite staterooms accommodate eight and include a full-beam amidships master. Tender storage will be in a stern garage. Crew is quartered in twin bunks in the forepeak.
