Benetti, the largest builder of large yachts in the world, announced a new composite series at
the Cannes Boat Show last September. The 24-meter Legend represents the "baby"
in the Benetti range, but bears a distinct family resemblance with exterior and
interior styling by the regular team of Stefano Righini and Francois Zuretti.
The layout includes an owner’s suite on the main deck, a full-beam VIP cabin and
two twin guest cabins on the lower deck. A semi-custom yacht, Legend will have a
customizable interior based on a classic or contemporary style.  "The motive behind the Legend is increased customer demand for
smaller displacement yachts with a level of comfort synonymous with the larger
Classic line," says Benetti Sales and Marketing Director Mark Cavendish. The
overall length is also decisive, as under new UCINA rules it can be rated either
under or over 24 meters with various fiscal benefits depending on whether it is

Annual production at the Fano shipyard will be four units, with the first
delivery in 2007.
