Waterfront: Fisherman's Friend
Miss Betty Is a Serious Angler’s Third Patrick Bray Project.

Bray 96
The 96-foot (29.3-meter) yacht Miss Betty by Canadian designer Patrick Bray is a steel-hulled beauty with one thing on her mind: offshore fishing. She is the third yacht Bray has drawn for the same Californian owner, expanding on two smaller versions. Miss Betty’s specifications call for heavy-duty construction above and beyond ABS requirements for unrestricted offshore use, incorporating collision and watertight bulkheads, fixed/active stabilizers and protected shaft skegs. Twin 385-hp engines will give her tank-tested displacement hull a top speed of 12 knots and a cruise of nine knots, providing a 5,000-mile range.

Miss Betty’s 26-foot beam allows room for a salon, dinette and galley on the main deck within full walkaround side decks. Sleeping accommodations include a large master stateroom and three guest cabins. The pilothouse, equipped with an extensive electronics array, has a settee and dayhead. The "lanai" deck gives guests a great view of the angling action in the 15-foot-long cockpit. Freezer holds belowdecks will store the catch of the day.
