Waterfront: Going All Dutch
Hakvoort Builds First Yacht Conforming to CCV Code.

Hakvoort 148
Scheduled for a late 2007 launch from Hakvoort, BN 241 is a Dutch yacht from beginning to end. Naval architecture for the 148-foot (45-meter) yacht is by Diana Yacht Design. Cor D. Rover is responsible for the exterior and Felix Buytendijk handled the interior. Continuing the Dutch theme, she will be the first yacht built for charter under the new Dutch rules for Commercial Cruising Vessels (CCV).

Her main deck includes a master stateroom with an owner’s office, salon and dining area. Accommodations for eight guests in four ensuite staterooms are on the lower deck. Crew quarters for eight are forward, while the captain is quartered on the bridge deck.

The sun deck offers up a bar, Jacuzzi and sun pads. Featuring side screens and infrared heaters in the overheads, the aft decks can be enjoyed in all seasons. A pair of twin Cat 3508B diesels will take the yacht to a top speed of 13 knots, allowing her to cruise at 11.5 knots. Reducing speed to 11 knots gives her a 3,800-nm range.
