Waterfront: Holland Jachtbouw Refit

Amsterdam’s Holland Jachtbouw commenced a major refit on the 42-meter (138-foot) motor yacht Life Saga. Supported by naval architect Azure and interior designer Artline, the work will take nine months and includes bringing all technologies and systems up to 2007 standards. New features will include installation of new engines, a new teak deck and a Jacuzzi integrated into the superstructure to be flush with the bridge deck. The yard will also be responsible for a partial replacement and modernization of the interior. As part of the refit, the stern will be remodeled and the stairs replaced to gain more deck space. The lazarette will be renovated to accommodate more water toys, and the bridge deck will be made into a private area for the owners. Other space-saving and space-creating renovations will be employed in various places throughout the yacht.
