Rhode Island builder to produce luxury tender.
Waterfront: Home, James

Goetz Custom Boats of Bristol, Rhode Island, has been contracted to build a 10-meter luxury limousine tender for a 259-foot Lürssen motor yacht code named "Bermuda."

Designed by Weaver-Price of Annapolis, Maryland, the tender will feature lightweight carbon fiber construction, gull-wing doors, air conditioning and twin Volvo Penta diesel engines. Guests will be transported in style and comfort from ship to shore.

Goetz Custom Boats was founded in 1975 by Eric Goetz. With a reputation for aerospace-caliber technology and quality, the company is known primarily as a builder of state-of-the-art composite sailing yachts including America’s Cup racing boats. The tender and its parent yacht are scheduled for launch in 2008.
