Vripack Designs 26.8-Meter Columbus 90 for Chinese Shipyard.
Waterfront: Kingship Mini-Mega

Kingship Marine, which builds luxury motor yachts up to 41 meters in China’s Pearl River Delta, commissioned Dutch naval architecture firm Vripack Yachting International to design a 26.8-meter (88-foot) motor yacht to fill a slot at the lower end of its line. Vripack and Kingship announced that the series, which is destined for the U.S. market, will be MCA compliant and classified by Lloyd’s Register.

The new Columbus 90 is a sturdy, steel-hulled semi-custom design. Large windows will provide her guests with panoramic views of the passing scenery, particularly in the forward owner’s suite. Vripack’s efficient design maximizes the use of available space on board, turning the Columbus 90 into a mini megayacht. Twin Caterpillar C18s will give her a long range of 4,000 nautical miles.
