Waterfront: Locked and Loaded
Devonport and RWD offer 100-meter-plus design.

England’s Devonport, in collaboration with the firm Redman Whiteley Dixon, has announced the design of a 108-meter yacht the builder is calling the Devonport One Ten. Redman Whiteley Dixon initially interpreted the design, which the builder says could be delivered to a client as early as 2011, with a Middle Eastern client in mind. But the yard says the design could be adapted to meet the requirements of any owner.

The design is fully Solas compliant under passenger ship regulations, has helicopter-landing capability and, by using proven systems, is intended to be an unencumbered build. As designed, the One Ten has six decks and a beam of 16.5 meters. The yacht’s massive interior volume would accommodate an owner’s party of eight, 20 guests, 14 staff and 29 crew.

The owner’s deck is situated above the main deck and is intended as a very private, family-oriented area. The deck comprises a spacious owner’s suite with twin bathrooms and twin dressing rooms, an office, a gym, sauna, private dining room and accommodations for the owner’s staff close by. Two VIP suites and a family salon take up the rest of the internal space.
