Horizon Yacht Company has
announced strong initial sales of its new 97 Raised Pilothouse motor yacht. The
idea for the new boat grew out of brainstorming sessions between customers and
the company’s in-house design team. The boat maintains the line’s familiar
profile, and its 21-foot, six-inch beam provides substantial space for
accommodations.
While some customization is possible, the typical arrangement
includes a full-beam master stateroom amidships featuring a walk-in closet, an
ensuite head, a love seat and a vanity. Two guest cabins, each with a private
head, are located between the master and the spacious VIP forward. A separate crew area with a compact lounge and two private cabins is located
aft and is accessible from the stern or via stairs from the salon.
The first 97 is powered by twin 1,550-hp Caterpillar diesels that will
deliver a top speed of 20 knots and a 16-knot cruise. It is due for delivery
this year.
