Iconic Italian Builder Adds 40th Vessel to Fleet.
Waterfront: Pure Perini

Perini Navi 184
Perini Navi has a new commission for a 184-foot sloop, the 40th in its fleet. Delivery is set for Spring 2008. The aluminum hull and superstructure will be built at Perini’s Turkish facility, Perini Istanbul-Yildiz, then shipped to Viareggio for completion. The hull, deck and sail plan have been developed and will be jointly overseen by Perini Navi and Ron Holland.

A defining feature of the new sloop will be her foredeck cockpit, like that on Perini’s S/Y Liberty, but enlarged and improved. A 233-foot, Perini Navi–built mast will support more than 31,000 square feet of sails. Carbon-fiber spreaders, a self-furling carbon boom and 12 Perini Navi captive winches will control the sail plan. The interior boasts a full-beam owner’s suite, three VIP staterooms and two guest staterooms with twin beds. The flybridge is accessed by an aft staircase. The stern is a conventional swim platform, which may be used for boarding tender or water toys.
