Horizon 130
Horizon Yachts has upped the ante on semi-production construction with a new 130-footer. This collaboration by designer JC Espinosa and naval architect Greg Marshall is scheduled to deliver in October 2005. Horizon plans to develop a full line of 100- to 170-foot motor yachts with the same design team.

Espinosa designed the yacht to maximize the views with large salon windows and an open and airy space plan. Additional features include a full-beam master and private terrace located aft of the pilothouse, a main-deck VIP stateroom, and two queen staterooms and two twin cabins on the lower deck. A Jacuzzi graces the top deck and the tender is accessed through a hydraulic garage door off the transom.

Twin MTU 16V2000 M90 engines should give her a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The 130 is being built using Horizon’s SCRIMP resin-infusion molding process and will comply with the MCA regulations.
