Burger Boat Company signs largest yacht design and construction in its 141-year history.

Burger Boat Company has signed a 150-footer, the largest, most comprehensive
yacht design-and-construction project in its 141-year history. Time For Us is
being built for a well-known American yachtsman who plans to cruise the world
extensively. She will be ABS-certified, MCA-compliant and available for charter
in some out-of-the-way spots around the world. An international project team has
been assembled, including interior designer John Munford of the U.K., project
manager Patton Marine and Dutch naval architecture firm Vripack. Burger’s
design team is co-engineering the project and has developed the interior layout
and exterior styling.
Time For Us will be handicap-accessible and feature a
four-level elevator. Tenders are positioned aft on the main deck level, where
opening side bulwarks and overhead gantry cranes allow for quick, easy
deployment. To be finished in raised-panel cherry and mahogany throughout, the
interior includes four guest cabins configured as VIP suites. She will have a
4,500-nm range and a top speed of 15.6 knots. Delivery is scheduled for late
2006.
