Waterfront: Two Times 50
Heesen Building Two 50-Meter Yachts.

After a launch-filled 2005, Heesen announced two new 50-meter projects. Galactica, a steel-and-aluminum semi-displacement yacht with a 31-foot beam, will make a splash in November 2007. She will reach 28 knots powered by twin 5,500-hp MTU 16V595 engines. One year later, Heesen will launch Man of Steel, a full-displacement yacht for the Canadian owner who took delivery of a 37-meter boat of the same name in 2005. The new Man of Steel will feature an upper-deck master and a main-deck VIP suite with a unique balcony created by a fold-down bulwark. Twin 1,550-hp MTU 8V4000 engines will give her a cruising range of 5,500 nautical miles at 14 knots. (Click image to enlarge)
