Christensen Sells First of New 160-Foot Custom Series.

After finding success with its 157-foot Custom Series,
Christensen shipyards of Vancouver, Washington, announced the sale last fall
of the first of its new 160-foot (48.8-meter) Custom Series yachts to a buyer
who currently owns a fully custom 145-foot Christensen. The new series, designed
by Christensen, has an interior by Carol Williamson + Associates. The tri-deck
yacht will have more than 6,500 square feet of interior space including an
elegant main-deck owner’s stateroom, five guest cabins and accommodations for up
to 10 crew. The interior will feature raised-panel sapele mahogany joinery and
custom stonework throughout. The yacht’s twin MTU 12V4000 series diesels will
provide her a top speed of 18 knots. Her range will be 4,500 nautical miles
at 12 knots. The new yacht has an expected delivery date of October
2008.
