High-tech builder combines efforts with Hoek for a new small-boat class.

Wally and Andre Hoek Design
have conspired to create a stunning 36-foot daysailer that combines classic
lines with advanced construction technology, design techniques and sailing
features. The WallyNano by Hoek Design was created after Andre Hoek received
several inquiries for classically styled cruiser/racer daysailers. Wally
President Luca Bassani says the yacht will answer some of the comfort and
aesthetic issues shared by many performance yachts in the size range.
The WallyNano by Hoek Design features a lifting keel and
detachable rudder. She can be sailed single-handed with a self-tacking staysail
and optional trims for the main and genoa sheets with control buttons on the
tiller. She has a battery-powered electrical propulsion system. A diesel is
optional.
