Guy Couach takes on the open market.

After expanding its production capacity for large vessels and
reorganizing its research and development department, French builder Guy Couach
is focusing on technology. Its new 2800 Open is the fruit of that commitment.
The yacht’s exhaustive design process included a finite element analysis
examining more than 200,000 points.
Guy Couach has partnered with Port de
Larros Shipyard, a specialist in high-tech composite shipbuilding, to
subcontract the superstructure construction. Impressive 45-knot performance is
expected – courtesy of twin MTU 16V 2000s and Arneson drives.
To be completed
in spring 2005, the 28-meter yacht features aggressive lines and maximum
internal volume. Her layout encompasses four large double cabins, including a
full-beam master suite, a commodious garage for two tenders and an open-air
salon with an innovative sunroof.
