To appeal to the larger-yacht operator, Kohler expanded its line to 150 kilowatts at 50 hertz and up to 180 kilowatts at 60 hertz. The John Deere engines powering the Kohler generators are available in 12- and 24-volt configurations. Features include Kohler-built Fast Response alternators and the Automatic Voltage Regulator that provides a rapid response to electrical load changes. Permanent magnet generator back ends are standard.

Hydrolastic mounts isolate up to 98 percent of the generator’s vibration, and sound-attenuated enclosures are lined with polyether and loaded vinyl barrier foam. Electronic fuel-injection control systems provide enhanced engine performance and control. Diagnostics and monitoring are available when using Kohler microprocessor controls.
