The yacht version of Marine Exhaust Systems’ commercial EcoSilencer exhaust scrubber is engineered to remove up to 80 percent of the soot, 90 percent of the sulfur dioxide and seven percent of the nitrous oxide from diesel engine and genset emissions. Based on sea water scrubbing principles developed for oil- and coal-fired power generation stations, EcoSilencer also reduces noise, odor and oily water discharge. The nickel alloy unit replaces both wet and dry silencers in the engine room, and the cool exhaust gas allows yacht builders and designers more space and flexibility in their dry stack design.
