Kahlenberg Introduces Low-Profile Horn for Megayachts.

The latest addition to the Kahlenberg
air-horn line is the five-trumpet Model F-2. It is a low-profile design locating
all five trumpets on the same horizontal plane. It was made to produce a full
five-note chord, yet satisfy the aesthetic requirements of vessels that do not
have the option of mounting a larger, more traditional array of horns in a mast
arrangement. The F-2 can be mounted without disturbing the lines forward of an
open cockpit or blocking the captain’s vision. The horn is manufactured entirely
of bronze and brass, and can be finished in white powdercoat, chrome plate or a
custom color to complement any yacht’s finish. Simultaneously sounding the notes
F, A, C, E-flat and F (one octave above the root note), the F-2 produces an F
dominant seventh chord in excess of 135 decibels and is certified for use on
vessels between 20 and 75 meters (65 feet 6 inches and 246 feet) long.
