Personal EPIRB Keeps Contact in an Emergency.
Waterfront: Save Yourself

ACR
ACR’s AquaFix EPIRB is small enough at 12 ounces to be carried in a pocket or pack. A removable protective holster allows for mounting on life vests or harnesses, making the AquaFix perfect for crew or active youngsters. The unit transmits a digitally coded distress signal on 406.028 MHz. This EPIRB features a flat, stainless steel antenna that wraps around the unit when stowed and is rapidly deployed by simultaneously pressing two buttons. The AquaFix floats and is waterproof to a depth of 35 feet. It operates on lithium batteries rated for 24 hours of continuous service with a replacement life of five years. Two models are available: one with an internal GPS that acquires latitude/longitude coordinates upon activation, and one that acquires the location externally through the waterproof NMEA 0183 connection from an outboard GPS unit.
