Northstar 972 Eliminates Chart Cartridges.

The Northstar 972 multifunction navigation system is shipped
pre-loaded with a world folio of Nobeltec Passport OnBoard charts, eliminating
the need for chart cartridges. It also permits viewing both raster and vector
charts on its 15-inch sunlight-viewable display. The 972 feature functions
include sonar and radar integration and a touch-screen menu.
Bathymetric charts in 3-D provide enhanced perspective on bottom structures, while contour shading reveals "at-a-glance" depth variations. Satellite photography with blended vector overlay enhances waterway navigation.
The split-screen option permits viewing up to four images at once or as
picture-in-picture. Video inputs accommodate a CCTV system.
Control buttons along the side and bottom of the screen are convenient, well spaced and clearly marked.
