When Codecasa unveiled its latest
megayacht,
Moneikos, the Italian shipyard also revealed its
true range and versatility. The 62-meter (203-foot) custom motor yacht
represents fresh thinking both inside and out. Her dramatic exterior styling is
a study in contrasts, alternating black wraparound windows with pure white
superstructure. In another departure from Codecasa tradition,
Moneikos’ sun deck
is 60 percent enclosed and encompasses the wheelhouse, giving the captain an
eagle-eyed view of the water ahead.
Moving up from a 50-meter Codecasa, Moneikos’ owner
wanted to optimize his vessel’s interior volume to create a comfortable home
afloat for his family. The main deck is dedicated to the children, and it
includes their accommodations, play and dining areas, as well as providing
living quarters for a nanny. The formal dining area is now on the bridge
deck, located in an oval-shaped, enclosed veranda with sliding rear doors.
The owner’s suite, forward, benefits from expansive views traditionally reserved
for the pilothouse.
